Gee, Wally, That’s Swell

Leave It To Beaver Reunion

Lauren Dow

Tony Dow, known for his role as Wally on the show Leave it to Beaver, was a man who wore many hats. He was an actor, director, writer, visual effects designer, producer, home builder, woodworker, painter, and sculptor and from 1965-68 he served in the National Guard! Tony Dow passed on July, 27th 2022. We are dedicating the 2022 Gallatin Comic-Con Leave it to Beaver Reunion to Tony. His wife Lauren will join us to share even more loving memories of Tony Dow, everyone’s favorite big brother.

Jerry Mathers

Jerry Mathers, a beloved actor began his career at the tender age of two when he did a Pet Condensed Milk commercial with Ed Wynn on the “Colgate Comedy Hour.” It was in 1957 however; with the debut of the series “Leave It To Beaver” that Jerry entered the hearts and homes of America.  An immediate success, the show gained national attention and ran for six seasons, totaling 234 episodes. He has acted in a variety of shows, and films, and even went all the way to Broadway!

Today, Jerry enjoys reminiscing when he makes personal appearances at trade shows and health conferences, colleges, on cruise ships, corporate events, baseball games, museums, parades, and other events around the country. He is always happy to talk with his fans, take photos and sign a personalized autograph.

Her film career began in the classic films The Children’s Hour directed by William Wyler, Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds and Spencer’s Mountain. Most recognize her from Ridley Scott’s masterpiece thriller, Alien, or as Violet Rutherford, on Leave it to Beaver where she gave Beaver his first kiss!

Veronica has been nominated four times for an Emmy Award with one win. At age 15 she won an Emmy for Best Actress in a television movie called Tell Me Not In Mournful Numbers. She was nominated again in 1997 for her guest-starring role of Mrs. Huston in two widely acclaimed episodes of ER. In 1998 and 1999 the Television Academy nominated her twice for her pivotal role of Cassandra Spender on Fox’s The X Files. Despite the accolades and fame, Veronica loves discussing her years on Leave it to Beaver.

You may have seen Tiger in many of the great films in the 50s, such as Rin Tin Tin, My Friend Flicka, Fury, or The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp. Tiger will always be remembered as Tooey on Leave it to Beaver. He has said ‘Going to work on that set was always like going home. Everything about that show was right. The production people, the actors, all of it was the best.”
